Sequoia & Kings National Park
California's Sequoia National Forest protects a 550-mile stretch of wilderness comprising giant sequoia groves, granite monoliths, meadows, rivers and canyons. Located in south-central California on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada, the forest is less visited than the neighboring Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park, which for solitude-seekers is a big draw in itself. There are, however, ample provisions for visitors, including marked trails and campgrounds, equipment rentals and organized excursions.
Yosemite National Park
Not just a great valley, but a shrine to human foresight, the strength of granite, the power of glaciers, the persistence of life, and the tranquility of the High Sierra.
First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.Sherwood Forest Golf Club
Since 1968, golfers have enjoyed playing 18 holes along the banks of the Kings River through the beautiful grove of mature Oaks and Sycamores that makes up the “forest” at Sherwood.
